How to Free up Time for Online Music Lessons

Step 1. Log your personal schedule for a week.
For one entire week, you should chronicle how you are spending your days. Do this, by writing down everything that you do from the minute you wake up, to the minute that you sleep. Step 2: Do the math.

Step 3: Divide and subtract.
Next, you should divide your weekly schedule into two classifications: time where you can`t manage what activities you do, and time where you have control over your activities.
Then subtract the latter amount of time from the former amount of time. This is important, because learning the keyboard while driving to the office isn`t feasible, while learning it during time that you arrange your paperclip collection is reasonable.
Step 4: Systematize your time.
The next step is to free up time for your online music lessons. This will be much easier than with traditional lessons, since you can study any time during the day or week. Look at your original log of daily activities and determine where you have spare time.
Then all you need to do is become more efficient at doing what`s required of you during a particular day (remember the list of tasks you can and cannot control?) so you can get started on learning how to play Bach or Rock.
Essentially, you`re implementing a “work before play” type of schedule. But after economizing your time, you`ve freed up much more time that you probably realized you had.
